The “Petite Ourse” seat in hand-carved palm wood, sIt is made up of rounded shapes that highlight the natural grain of the wood and combine to create a primitive shape that looks like an unreal and endearing character. Palm wood is a soft wood and cannot be assembled in the same way as conventional wood. The piece undergoes a lengthy sanding and varnishing process to set the top layer of its fiber and enhance its unique natural color, which is different on each tree.
