Regular price €1.980Add to cart
"Giraffe à tablette" floor lamp, made of ash wood.
"La Giraffe à tablette" is one of Maison Rispal's most emblematic biomorphic creations, along with the "Praying Mantis". Its origins were probably influenced by the German Dada sculptor Jean Arp, who lived in Clamart, near the home of Georges Léon Rispal, founder of Maison Rispal.
The Rispal family is a line of artists: Georgette Rispal became an opera soprano and music permeated her life. This luminaire, designed in 1952 by her brother, François Rispal, captures the modernist spirit of the time and evokes a certain musicality with its wooden structure sculpted in the shape of a harp, an instrument played by her sister Georgette.
