Original Shanxi cabinet from the 19th century, an extraordinary piece of austere character whose assemblies are artisans based on tenons and mortises. Shanxi was a very prosperous region during the Ming and Qing dynasties, which encouraged the manufacture of very high quality furniture for merchants and wealthy families. Today there are hardly any examples of these characteristics left, which makes these pieces of furniture collector's items.
